I believe every human is capable of change and healing.
We find the courage to self-reflect and try something new when we are in a space where we feel safe, understood, valued, and believed in.
This is the space that I cherish creating together with my clients.
My Approach
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) / Attachment-based. We will regard your emotions as our compass in guiding us to your underlying needs. Having these needs met are key to building a secure connection with yourself and with your loved ones.
Experiential. We will lean into emotions that come alive in session rather than sit back and analyze from afar.
Relational. We will understand how you feel in relationships, including our therapeutic relationship, to find healing through connection.
Psychodynamic. We will explore how past experiences impact your wishes and fears today in ways you may not be fully aware of.
Humanistic. I wholeheartedly believe you are the expert of your experience.
I value the ways the intersectionality of our identities (race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, abilities, class) impact our mental health and our experience moving through the world. I identify as a Taiwanese-American, daughter of immigrants, heterosexual, cisgendered female, and I strive to be an LGBTQIA+ ally.
I warmly welcome all humans to come as they are and sojourn with me.
